Helping families reunite with their children safely.
Helping families reunite with their children safely.
At the Global Missing Children Organization ("GMCO"), our mission is to assist victimized parents in the recovery of their internationally kidnapped children. GMCO focuses on International Parental kidnappings a crime that is on the rise.
There are over 2,300 children kidnapped by a parent every day in the United States. One every 40 seconds. There are nearly 3,000 international parental kidnappings of American children by foreign spouses to foreign countries every year.
Only one out of eight children (250 of 3,000 kidnapped) are returned annually to their left behind parent in the U.S.
Every child's life matters.
The importance of nurturing, protecting, and empowering children cannot be overstated.
Protecting our children and their well-being today determines the prosperity of our world tomorrow.
Every second, minute, and hour truly count when a child is kidnapped by their parent. The ability of law enforcement and child protection agencies to act quickly and concisely can make the difference between a swift recovery and prolonged suffering for the child.
The urgency of these cases cannot be overstated, as the longer the child remains with the abductor, the greater the danger they face, and the more challenging it becomes to locate and safely recover them.
By addressing the challenges and implementing effective strategies, we can enhance our capacity to protect vulnerable children and reunite them with their rightful guardians, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Parental child abduction occurs when one parent takes or conceals a child from the other parent, violating custody or visitation rights. These kidnapping are a form of child abuse and a federal crime 18 U.S.C. § 1204, also known as the International Parental Kidnapping Crime Act (IPKCA).
These kidnappings are particularly insidious as it often involves someone the child knows and trusts, making the experience even more confusing and traumatic.
Law enforcement and child protection agencies often face resource constraints that hinder their ability to act swiftly. These limitations include manpower, access to technology, and funding for search and recovery operations.
To further support these efforts, the GMCO was founded to subsidize and provide another resource for victimized children and parents. This foundation offers financial aid, counseling services, and legal assistance to those affected by international parental abduction.
By extending a helping hand, GMCO plays a crucial role in mitigating the trauma experienced by both the children and their families.
GMCO is constantly seeking to improve our ability to recover children using technology. We are seeking partnerships to enhance are capabilities.
Utilizing advanced technology, such as AI, aging simulation imaging, GPS tracking, geo-targeting and mapping tools, social media monitoring, and enhanced data-sharing platforms, can significantly improve the speed and accuracy of locating and the recovery of kidnapped children.
AI-driven technology will enable GMCO to have data analysis tools that can comb through copious amounts of data to identify patterns and trends in child kidnapping cases.
We represent the interests of the innocent children victims.
